The physics classroom is a useful site which is intended for schools. However, as an introduction to this whole area, I think it works well.
More explaination is to be found on a different physics classroom.
The University of New South Wales is extremely good on music acoustics. There are some interesting tests too if you want to have a go.
One final site at Tufts University may also be interesting. This is not a site I've used before but other tutors have mentioned it. Its a PDF download so you might find it a bit slow if you don't have broadband.
If you have any other suggestions, let me know.
